Using an online form
There are many things you can do online at our practice. Some tasks you can do using a website called Accurx where you can:
- request an appointment
- request a sick note
- ask about test results
- contact us about an admin request
You do not need an account to use this website.
Using your NHS account or NHS App
There are other tasks you can do online, like:
- order repeat prescriptions
- view your test results
- access your health record
- check or cancel appointments
- see your vaccination record
For these, you can use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) or NHS App.
If you would like some help using your NHS account, either through the NHS website or NHS App, we are running drop in sessions at the practice on Thursdays and Fridays, 17:30-18:30, starting in February 2024. There is no need to book – just pop in and someone from the team will be available to support you.
We have a tablet in the waiting area which you can use to access the NHS website, if you do not have access to a smartphone or other device.
Setting up an NHS account
To set up your NHS account for the first time, you will need to set up an NHS login. Read about how to set up NHS login (nhs.uk).
Once you have set up your NHS login, you can log in to your NHS account or download the NHS App onto your phone.
If you have two forms of approved photo ID, you can verify your identity yourself within the NHS App.
If you are unable to do this for any reason, we can link your NHS account to your GP record for you. We will just need to confirm your identity so we can be sure we are giving access to the right person. You do not need to have photo ID for this. You can:
- send us a copy of some photo ID, and a photo of you holding this ID to your face via Accurx
- come to the practice to show us some photo ID at reception
- come to the practice to speak with one of the team, who will ask you a few questions about your medical record to confirm your identity
